It's nice to see a Samus representation that's more like the Western-style head and features she had at the end of Prime1. The sudden switch to the Japan-style face for MP2 was pretty jarring.

Say, buddy, is your DA icon from the old movie "Dark Star"? Which would be totally awesome to meet somebody else who actually knows that movie.

This is some wonderful portrait work. Your concept is Samus is inspired. Unlike so many other 'reveal' shots where she's confident and alive, you've tried to do something very different here - beneath that helmet is someone who is clearly very fragile and delicate, who has seen perhaps too much whilst she's travelled the galaxy alone. It's soulful and pained and insightful, but also gives Samus a heroic stoicism and strength to endure. It's a really lovely character piece which is helped along a lot by your careful attention to details. Your logo work shows some very delicate craft and I love the overall look you've given the suit of being rusted and worn out with use. It's a nice reminder that the suit does take a real kicking against Ridley and the Space Pirates! The background tops things off with a nice touch, too :) Thank you for sharing this with us all!!
